Today we are beginning a multi-part series on making a mobile game without writing any code. We will culminate the series by putting our game in the App Store, and Google Play (barring approval from the respective platforms).
In part 1 we are primarily focused with installing the necessary software, and generating usable game art in the form of sprites as soon as possible. You can view the full video for part one here: Create Mobile Platform Game Part 1.
We will be using software called GDevelop. This allows us to add art and logic to our game without writing any code. We also will not need photoshop or other image editing software to create the art. The focus of this video series is game development, not art. As a result several online tools are used to generate the pixel art we need.
Part 2 will begin to focus on some basics of player character movement. Let me know what specific elements of game creation/development you want to see in future videos as later parts of this series are still in production.
